Matthew: whipped cream delight
Assignment: 5:08PM
Location: Los Alamos, CA, Full of Life Flatbread (restaurant)
Shutter: 1/50s
Aperture: f/3.5
My fiancee Christine and I love to eat and we made a pilgrimage to this excellent pizza/flatbread restaurant in Los Alamos, a sleepy town in Central California’s Wine Country. Dessert was this apricot tarte topped with a mound of fresh whipped cream. I happen to love Christine’s hands, how they’re shaped and their overall “cuteness”. The ambient light from the side is that way because we were nearby the patio. I think the soft light captures the gentle spring air and sign of warmer, happier days to come.

I’m really into food photography and I’d like to think that this photo would go quite nicely in Gourmet Magazine or something like that.
